Saturday - May 14, 7 pm – 10 pm 

Join us for an elegant evening in the Garden--$20 per person

Featured will be an exciting slide presentation by Maraleen Manos-Jones -- author, artist, dance choreographer, and butterfly fanatic extraordinaire.  A wine and cheese reception with live guitar music will precede the presentation.  A book signing of Maraleen’s gorgeous book the Spirit of Butterflies will follow.  There will be books on hand to purchase.

 

 

Saturday - May 21, 9 am – 12 pm

            Bring the entire family for a morning of multicultural fun.  

$15 per family (includes one kite) - $10 for each extra kite.

            Learn about butterflies and the ancient history of kites in China, as you and the kids fly Chinese Butterfly Kites.   Other family activities with butterflies as well as Latin American folk music by Ensamble La Misión will add to the fun.

            Join us for a morning of butterfly appreciation. 

$10 per person, $5 children under 12

Among the activities will be butterfly walks in the Park, Butterfly Gardening Workshop, Native Plants will be available to purchase.  Butterfly art exhibited by some of the Valley’s top nature artists.  Among the authors on hand to autograph their books will be Roland H. Wauer, author of the recently published Butterflies of the Lower Rio Grande Valley, a book on knowing and enjoying our rich butterfly flora.  And more . . . .
