Beautiful Butterflies

by Wendy Erikson, June 7, 2007—1:47:19 PM

They are people who appreciate the small things in life! These nature lovers are willing to spend hours walking in search of seeing beautiful butterflies. They are members of the North American Butterfly Association, St. Louis Chapter.

The group created a butterfly garden at Busch Conservation Area in Weldon Spring. In the garden you’ll find all kinds of plants that attract butterflies. Members typically take pictures of their butterfly encounters and wait patiently for the next one! They hope other people will see how easy it is to grow plants that attract butterflies.

If you’d like to know more about the St. Louis chapter of the North American Butterfly Association or the butterfly garden at Busch Conservation area, contact …. They have monthly butterfly walks and other events, which are free.
