| Wed., 3/27 | 7:30 p.m. | "Pollinators and the Plants They Use," presented by NABA member Allen Casey, who works for the U.S.D.A. in Elsberry, MO. Starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Sunset Hills Community Center, 3915 South Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63127. This program is co-sponsored with the Missouri Native Plant Society (MONPS). There is a core group of MONPS members who regularly meet for dinner at a nearby restaurant before their meeting. NABA members are invited. Meet at 5:30 at the Community Center if you want to join the group for dinner. |

| Sat., 5/25 | 8:45 | Shaw Nature Reserve (Yvonne Homeyer). Seasonal Count ($3 fee). Meet at Visitor’s Center. Entrance fee to Shaw for non-Garden members is waived. This count involves a lot of walking. We will have a gate key. After the count, we will have a picnic lunch at the Trail House. All cars leave together, around 1:00 p.m. Participants who need to leave earlier can walk back from Trail House. |
| Sat., 6/8 | 10:00 | Weldon Spring Interpretive Center (Jeannie Moe). Butterfly walk in the garden and Howell Prairie, followed by an indoor (air-conditioned) picnic lunch at Noon. Excellent opportunity for photography in the garden. Note the later start time. |
| Sat., 6/22 | 9:00 | Busch C.A. (Scott Marshall). Fourth of July Count ($3 fee). Meet at the Jim Ziebol Butterfly Garden at the bottom of the Visitor’s Center parking lot. |
| Sat., 7/13 | 9:00 | B.K. Leach C.A., Fourth of July Count (Allen Casey). No fee. Meet at the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service’s Plant Materials Center, 2803 N. Hwy. 79 on the south edge of Elsberry. Please call Allen Casey at 573.898.2012 to let him know if you will be participating. |
