Butterfly Sudoku

NABA-St. Louis Kid's Corner Sudoku Puzzles:

Want to play a game that challenges your thinking skills? Then try a game of Sudoku! The following Sudoku pages are rated at "medium" difficulty... not too hard, but not too easy either. There are 3 puzzles to choose from: a 4 by 4 grid, and 6 by 6 grid, and for a real challenge, a 9 by 9 grid.

FIRST, print out the puzzle. At the bottom, you will see some numbered boxes. These boxes tell you puzzle pieces you will be using. NEXT, print the second page, which has all the tiles you need to complete the puzzle. Cut them out, and maybe even color them for more fun. FINALLY, work at solving the Sudoku puzzle. If you get stuck, there is an answer or solution page for each puzzle. Good luck and have fun!

PUZZLE 1 (4 by 4)

PUZZLE 2 (6 by 6)

PUZZLE 3 (9 by 9)

HOW TO PLAY SUDOKU:

You start with a square grid... most often 4 by 4, 6 by 6, or 9 by 9. Thick lines emphasize individual blocks of squares. The "puzzle maker" has already started the puzzle for you by filling in a few of the squares. Your job is to solve the puzzle by filling in the empty squares. The "trick" is that each row, column, and block contain only one of each of the puzzle pieces. There is only one correct answer or solution for each Sudoku puzzle.
