Program - Dr. Fred Santana - " Life on a Senna: Discovering Biodiversity". This presentation is a glimpse into the biodiversity of insect life on a common landscape plant found in many gardens, Senna didymobotrya, also known as the popcorn senna. It is an attempt to show the interesting diversity of herbivores and carnivores it supports and their resulting food webs. It does not show every inhabitant of this leafy world, but does offer a view of how its inhabitants obtain food, shelter, and the opportunity to mate. Life on the Senna is a world we hardly notice but one well worth getting to know.
