Meetings will all be held at the Tucson Botanical Gardens on the third Tuesday of the month - January through May and September through November - 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Education Building unless announced otherwise.  The Gardens are located at 2150 N Alvernon Way south of Grant. Meetings are free and open to the public.

September 16, 2008    Saturnid Moths of Arizona by Michael Wilson. 

Arizona is a mecca for those who study and collect moths.  Michael is a well known author for natural history books and is Research Director of the Drylands Institute.  He will teach us about these beautiful moths and their caterpillars. 

October 21, 2008   Butterflies and Moths of Australia  by John Rhodes
About one half of the 400 butterfly species in Australia are found nowhere else.  This talk will explore the wild butterflies and moths of Australia, as well as butterfly exhibits and butterfly farms.  A few other interesting Australian creatures will also be shown.  John is the Curator of Butterfly Magic at the Tucson Botanical Gardens.

November 18, 2008    Butterflies and Birds of Costa Rica  by Rich Hoyer
Richard C. Hoyer is a tour leader for WINGS and will have a tour tor Costa Rica in May, 2009.  He will have just returned from a trip to Brazil and may include in his talk some of the photos from that trip.
