SEABA's Mission

To advocate for butterflies and their habitats through conservation, education and recreation.

What We Are

You are welcome to join us whether you're new to butterflies or an expert.

We're a relaxed group of fun-loving butterfly enthusiasts, fortunate to live in one of the prime butterflying locales in the USA..

Our members have all levels of knowledge and experience, from beginners to advanced.

SEABA is a local chapter of NABA, the North American Butterfly Association.
Both SEABA and NABA are non-profit organizations formed to promote non-consumptive, recreational butterflying and to increase enjoyment, knowledge and conservation of butterflies.

We engage in butterfly gardening, identification, photography, outreach to local schools and the public, and conservation.

What We Do

We hold monthly meetings, January through May and September through November.

We have organized field trips and members often participate in NABA local butterfly counts.

We also share information about local butterfly-related information. This fall (2013) we are working with Tohono Chul Park's Butterfly Tours on Saturdays at 11 AM. For more informaton, look under Special Events.
