Mission, Goals, and Values

The mission of the Chrysalis In Time chapter (CIT) is to promote the conservation, appreciation and study of butterflies and butterfly habitat.

Creation of butterfly habitat through butterfly gardening and preservation of existing habitat, is a paramount activity and goal of the chapter.

Coordinating and sponsoring educational programming and outreach projects that attract butterfly lovers of all ages is also an important goal of the chapter.

Although Chrysalis In Time recognizes that butterflies must be collected for scientific study, the organization emphasizes the utility of careful binocular observation and "catch and release" methods for identification and appreciation of these creatures.
