Butterflies of Stokes State Forest, Sussex County, New Jersey


DIRECTIONS: Take I-80 to exit 34, Route 15. Follow Route 15 north for 18 miles to its end at Route 206. Continue on Route 206 north for about 8 miles to Coursen Road. Turn right onto Coursen Road and the park headquarters.

HABITAT: Similar to High Point State Park.

Numbers refer to months. For example, the first species, Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, is common from May through September.
