Our meeting this month was at the gardens of Pat and John Thomas and Greg and Judy Bonovetz. The gardens gave us a contrasting view of an informal versus a formal garden. Both gardens displayed butterfly activity. Swallowtail caterpillars and monarch eggs were exposed to the viewing members. Helpful dialogue about plants and butterfly experiences was exchanged among members. We are going to meet again on Tuesday July 16, 2002 for more garden viewing. We will begin our tour at our Vice-President's home, Tom Kasper. We will then proceed to Gail and Foster Gilliland's garden. (Home of Maynard the caterpillar) Marilyn and Al Persch will also show us their garden.
