You can become a MBC member by joining the North American Butterfly Association (NABA). Simply mail this application form to NABA headquarters.
NABA-MBC membership includes the following:
- Subscription to NABA's quarterly magazine, American Butterflies
- Subscription to NABA's quarterly magazine, Butterfly Gardener
- Subscription to MBC's Massachusetts Butterflies (published twice a year)
Furthermore, we have a growing library of books on various topics dealing with butterflies and we are compiling a complete set of slides for all the Massachusetts butterflies (including all stages for some species). These materials are available for club members' use. Please contact Lyn Lovell, Treasurer, for the use of the books and the slides.
There are currently about 150 NABA-MBC members covering the spectrum from novices to prominent lepidopterists. Many members lead field trips and present programs for all ages on butterfly identification and behavior and butterfly gardening. Please join us for an upcoming club activity!
