Jul 2 Sat 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Horn Pond Mountain in Woburn for hairstreaks. Horn Pond Mountain (probably better called a hill) attracts a wide variety of butterflies (49 species logged) but hairstreaks are its specialty. The rocky southwest side runs under a powerline so vegetation is routinely cropped to maintain low growth, allowing the many rare and unusual wildflowers to flourish. On July 1, 2004 we counted seventy individual hairstreaks of five species. Join us to see if we can break this record! Betty Wright and Marj Rines 781-643-6404
