The First Ever Florida Regional NABA Meeting!

March 23-25, 2007

Gainesville has an astonishing variety of butterflies in its varied habitats and butterfly gardens. From pine flatwoods, to springs, to sandhills, to public and private wildflower and butterfly gardens, the area teems with a diversity of species.

Come see for yourself in March! We will have something for everyone. Join us for garden tours and field trips to natural areas for beginners and experts alike.

Field Trips: There will be a pre-meeting field trip to Ralph E. Simmons Memorial State Forest; a pre-meeting paddling trip down the Santa Fe River; and all-day field trips on Saturday and Sunday. Cost: $100 registration fee ($130 for non-NABA members which includes NABA membership). The registration fee includes: the Friday evening reception; all tours; entry into the Butterfly Rainforest Friday, Friday night, and Saturday 10am-5pm; moth watch; field trips and programs, box lunches on Saturday and Sunday; drinks and snacks.

Hotel Accommodations: Reserve your room by MARCH 9 at the Cabot Lodge, 3726 SW 40 Blvd. (at Archer Road and I-75), Gainesville, FL, 32608. Special rate of $89 good through March 9. The Cabot is about two miles from the Florida Museum of Natural History where the talks and meeting will take place. Very nice continental breakfast, and a happy hour, are included in the $89 rate.
